Biblical Principles

Principle 1: God has defined a way of life with rules and expectations for us to follow.

Proof Verses: Leviticus 18:4-5; Jeremiah 7:23; John 14:21.

Principle 2:  Abiding by God’s rules & expectations is good. Opposing God’s rules and expectations is evil. Another word for evil is sin.

Proof Verses: Romans 2:13; Romans 1:28-32; Titus 1:16.

Principle 3: The existence of sin and evil makes life difficult.

Proof Verses: Genesis 3:13-19; Deuteronomy 28:15; Psalm 34:19; 2 Timothy 3:1-3;  John 16:33.

Principle 4: Evil men don’t want to live God’s way.

Proof Verses: Isaiah 30:9; John 3:19-20; 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Principle 5: Kidnapping & human trafficking are evil.

Proof Verses: Exodus 21:16; Deuteronomy 24:7; 1 Tim 1:9-10.

Principle 6: God doesn’t show partiality. He doesn’t love one race more than any other.

Proof Verses: Acts 10:34-35; Romans 2:11; Romans 10:12-13; Colossians 3:11.

Principle 7: God commanded His people to have the same laws for everyone in their land. He commanded them to love them regardless of ethnicity or nationality.

Proof Verses: Exodus 12:49; Deuteronomy 10:19; Leviticus 19:34; Leviticus 24:22; Numbers 15:14-16.

Principle 8: Acts of partiality like racism and prejudice are sins.

Proof Verses: Leviticus 19:15; James 2:8-9; 1 Timothy 5:21.

Principle 9: God doesn’t want us to judge others based on appearances. God, Himself, judges what’s in someone’s heart.

Proof Verses: 1 Samuel 16:7; Jeremiah 17:10; James 2:3-4.

Principle 10: God sent Jesus to rescue us from the penalty of sin.

Proof Verses: John 3:16; 1 John 2:2; 1 John 4:9-10.

Principle 11: Jesus can change evil men into righteous men.

Proof Verses: Romans 6:4-6; 2 Corinthians 5:17;  Titus 2:11-12.

Principle 12: Both God the Father and Son care for you! They want you to cry out to them for help when you need it!

Proof Verses: Psalm 55:22; Psalm 62:8; 1 Peter 5:6-7; Hebrews 4:15-16; Philippians 4:6.
