The Fall

When we rebel against God’s decrees and live according to our own agenda, that is called sin. Here’s what the Bible has to say about sin.

  • At the core, all sin is rebellion and rejection of God’s right to govern our lives.
  • Everyone has sinned and continues to sin.
  • God is not just unhappy when we sin. He is absolutely furious.
  • The punishment for sin is death and eternal separation from God.
  • Each individual bears full responsibility for his or her own sins and God will hold that individual accountable.

Rebellion against a loving Creator who gives you life and sustains you is truly evil. God has every right to punish us for sin. He is just and He will administer His justice. But He is also merciful.
