Eternity

After Jesus’ ascension, the Father sent the Holy Spirit to indwell all believers. In addition to the Holy Spirit, believers in Christ receive many blessings in this life and will receive even more wonderful gifts in the age to come. The blessings of believing in Christ are as follows:

  • The Father adopts all believers as children and co-heirs along with Christ.
  • His Holy Spirit indwells us and makes our eternity secure.
  • Sin and death have no more power over us.
  • In Christ, we become new creatures.
  • Jesus and the Spirit both intercede for us with the Father.
  • The Spirit enlightens us and causes us to grow.
  • The Father gifts us with all things that pertain to life and Godliness.
  • We are beneficiaries of all of God’s promises.
  • The Father, Son and Spirit make their dwelling with us.
  • Nothing can separate us from the Father’s love.
  • The Father gives us the privilege of doing good works in His name.
  • The Father gives us the privilege of partnering with Him in sharing the Gospel to others.
  • When Jesus returns, we will live with Him in the new heavens and earth.
  • We will reign with Him.

The Bible says that the hardships of this life are not worth comparing with the great blessings of eternity. We should await Christ’s second coming with hope and joy! Come Lord Jesus!
